Hi everyone it's Xebs, The PlayStation 4 finally launches this month in Japan, and the latest issue of Dengeki PlayStation included Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts 3 in their line up of “coming soon” titles. Thanks to sqex.info they translated the comments from Shinji Hashimoto, who is currently working on both titles.

Hi everyone it's Xebs, in very interesting news, newly weds Charlene Datan and Choi Elegadio from the Philippines, had one theme in mind that they really wanted for their special day. They wanted to cosplay as non-other then Final Fantasy characters for their wedding, the hugely popular RPG from Japan.

NEW! Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy -Curtain Call- Trailers!

Hi everyone it's Xebs! SQUARE-ENIX showcased new trailers of Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy -Curtain Call- which, includes many features new to this release. There is now a Quest Mode in which you can take on a pre-determined set of songs for a reward. Curtain Call also features a wider selection of songs and playable characters, this time including games such as Final Fantasy X-2, Lightning Returns, Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, Final Fantasy VII -Crisis Core-, Final Fantasy Tactics, Final Fantasy Type-0 and many more. A Challenge mode will allow you the option to go wireless or even online.

NEW! SQUARE-ENIX Trailers Of Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster & Thief!

Hi everyone it's Xebs! SQUARE-ENIX has released two new trailers of the following games Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster & Thief, both featuring new scenes and concept.

The trailer of Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster shows the completely remastered visuals, updated music, and brand new content. Also fans can finally play the 20+ hours of the International Edition, which has never been released in worldwide. Experience the quintessential versions of two RPGs that defined a generation. 

The launch trailer of Thief, shows the city in which you once knew, has changed. Your thieving skills are all you can trust as you walk the fine line between politics and the people, entangled in layers of conflict. With time running out, you'll unravel a dark, personal secret from the past that ultimately threatens to tear your world apart.

Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster will release on 18th March for US, 20th for Australia and 21st for Europe and worldwide. However, you can get an advance copy if you attend the FINAL FANTASY X/X-2 HD Remaster Official Gallery Exhibit on the 15th of March in America, limited stock ONLY. For the PS3 ONLY.

Thief will release on 25th February for US, 27th for Australia and 28th for Europe and worldwide. For the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

Disney's Aladdin - The Broadway Musical!

Hi everyone it's Xebs! Aladdin, one of Disney's classics will be brought to fresh theatrical life in this bold new musical. Aladdin's journey sweeps audiences into an exotic world of daring adventure, classic comedy and timeless romance. This new production features a full score, including the five cherished songs from the Academy Award-winning soundtrack (by Alan Menken) and more written especially for the stage.

Play Station 4 Is Finally Out In Japan!

Hi everyone it's Xebs! The Sony Computer Entertainment Japan have announced the PlayStation 4 on February 21st in Japan. Final Fantasy XIV: Realm Reborn, Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts III were some of the featuring SQUARE-ENIX games for the PS4, but unfortunately there were no new trailers shown of the following games. The Producer/Director Naoki Yoshida and Producer Shinji Hashimoto were guests creators for the event. At the event, Hashimoto appeared on stage and announced to fans to "Please wait a little longer." for Kingdom Hearts III.

Showcasing Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, Final Fantasy XV & Kingdom Hearts III At The PS4 Lunch In Japan!

Hi everyone it's Xebs! Only a few more days till the PlayStation 4 is out in Japan, so Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Asia will be putting on a launch event on the 21st of February 2014. The event will begin at 22:30pm in Japan, and will feature a handful of SQUARE-ENIX games and guests including Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Producer/Director Naoki Yoshida, and also Shinji Hashimoto the Producer of Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts III. As guest creators they will be showing off the appeal of PS4 with possible gameplay footage the following games. Very exciting!

The venue will be at the Sony Building in Ginza (Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo 5-3-1)

On the SQUARE-ENIX.info website, they found a recent article from business news group Nikkei Quick News, that reports that Square Enix Holdings is losing investments from Credit Suisse Group, possibly impacting the investments regarding future Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest titles.

NEW! Disney Magical World Game Trailer!

Hi everyone it's Xebs! Nintendo has announced a western version of "Disney Magical World", formally known in Japan as "Disney Magic Castle". This game is crossed between "Animal Crossing" and good old Disney magic, with familiar faces featuring: Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Peter Pan, The Lion King and lots more. It also has a surprisingly similar element, like none-other than Kingdom Hearts; you go around interacting with multiple Disney characters and you also defeat weird monsters, and to protect the Disney worlds from danger (sound familiar?).

"Disney Magical World" will be released on April 11th 2014 for the Nintendo 3DS ONLY.

NEW! Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy Curtain Call Adds Final Fantasy Type-0 Characters!

Hi everyone it's Xebs, the 12th issue of Shonen Jump magazine is announcing that Final Fantasy Type-0 characters Machina Kunagiri and Rem Tokimiya will be playable characters in SQUARE-ENIX's Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy Curtain Call rhythm game.

In addition, the Quest Medley system will return. In the newest installment, players are able to trade Quest Melody maps with friends wirelessly. When a map is cleared, players are able to see what boss will appear on that same map the next time the player challenges the stage. 

Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy Curtain Call will arrive in Japan on April 24th by itself and with its own exclusive Nintendo 3DS variant. The game will collect over 200 songs from the Final Fantasy series of video games, and will have appearances by over 60 characters. A versus battle mode will also be added, allowing players to challenge their friends to rhythm game battles. It's currently unknown when or if it would have a worldwide release. 

NEW! Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn - PS4 Trailer!

Hi everyone it's Xebs, SQUARE-ENIX has announced that Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn for the PS4 will be available on April 14th, 2014, and the Beta version for the PS4 will available on February 22nd, 2014. Also A Realm Reborn  features enhanced visuals, touchpad control on the DualShock 4, and remote play with PS Vita.

Hi everyone it's Xebs, Finally, Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, the finale to the Final Fantasy XIII series releases today in US for the PS3 and Xbox 360. 

SQUARE-ENIX has also made DLC available for launch, including two outfits for Lightning: Tomb Raider called “Lara Croft” and Yuna's second outfit from Final Fantasy X-2 called “Sphere Hunter”. Each costume is available for $3.99 US dollars.

For Australia it's available tomorrow! Yay! and for Europe and Worldwide you guys have to wait one more day... Sorry.

BREAKING NEWS! Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers To Become A Live-Action Movie!

Hi everyone it's Xebs, the Hollywood Reporter as announced that director Rob Rugan will be turning the classic animated series Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers into a live-action film. The story will be based on an “origin story” for the popular crime-fighting critters. Much like “Alvin and the Chipmunks” and the recent “Smurfs” movies, the upcoming Rescue Rangers movie will feature CG characters in a live-action world, not 2D animation like the old cartoons. 

Rob Rugan will be writing the script, having pitched the idea to Disney. Since then, Rugan has been passing the story around on Twitter, excited for the world to learn of his project. Tad Stones, one of the writers, producers, and creators of the original Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers series has also written to Rob Rugan on how pleased he is about this movie project. It's currently unknown what year the movie will be released. What do you guys think?

NEW! DLC Tomb Raider For Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII!

Hi everyone it's Xebs, SQUARE-ENIX has announced that a DLC of Lara Croft's outfit for Lightning will be available. As some of you may know the new Tomb Raider game was made and produced by SQUARE-ENIX. Also in the 30 minute video of "Inside the Square", you can see Lara Croft's weapon that she uses in Tomb Raider.

I feel ok with this, but lately I've seen multiple backlashes of fans not liking Lightning wearing Lara Croft's clothes. Overall, I like this, and I may download the outfit when Lightning Returns comes out.

Hi everyone it's Xebs, SQUARE-ENIX has released a final 30 minute video of the "Inside the Square" of the making of Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. This documentary shows the inside look into the company of SQUARE-ENIX in Japan. The documentary also interviewed the producer Yoshinori Kitase, director Motomu Toriyama, art director Isamu Kamikokuryou, and game design director Yuji Abe. They talk about the design of the evolving landscape of the Final Fantasy XIII universe, and how it can relate to the home city of Japan. There's only a few more days till its release. Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII will be released on February 10th US, 13th for Australia and 14th for Europe and Worldwide for Play Station 3 and Xbox 360.

NEW! Drakengard 3 Release Trailer!

Hi everyone it's Xebs, SQUARE-ENIX has released a new trailer of Drakengard 3. I personally played the first one years ago on the Play Station 2, and I really enjoyed it. I love the concept of sacrificing your human soul so you can control a dragon, and go on many dangers quest to protect a kingdom (also it was my very first MA15+ rated game), also a second Drakengard was released, which looked very intimidating, but unfortunately I didn't get to play it, nor experience the gameplay. I just hope that this one has the same feeling and and similar experience like the first one, but with chicks. Drakengard 3 will be released on May 21st 2014 for Play Station 3.

If you're a Square Enix fan, chances are, the answer is yes. Takeharu Ishimoto has been involved in the audio aspect of all the Kingdom Hearts games, from the very original title to the very latest. He even composed a number of tracks in Birth By Sleep and Dream Drop Distance, including the many arrangements of Vanitas's battle theme (Unbreakable Chains, Enter the Darkness, and the like.)

Ishimoto is also famous for composing the original tracks in both Dissidia and Dissidia Duodecim, as well as arranging a number of the most famous tracks from the numbered titles in the series.

NEW! Album "Memória" To Contain KINGDOM HEARTS Music!

Hi everyone it's Xebs, SQUARE-ENIX have announced a new album of 25 Years of instrumental music by Yoko Shimomura, the composer of the KINGDOM HEARTS series. The album is called Memória, and will contain some tracks from the KINGDOM HEARTS series, the musical soundtrack will also feature SQUARE-ENIX games that she has composed. Memória will release on March 26, 2014 in Japan.

NEW! LIGHTNING RETURNS: FINAL FANTASY XIII - Retro-spective Trailer!

Hi everyone it's Xebs, SQUARE-ENIX has released 16-bit version of both Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy XIII-2. Personally I think it's pretty cool design, and I just hope they'll do a similar thing to Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster, only time will tell. There's only a matter of time till Lightning returns for her final instrument. Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII will release on February 11th in the US, 13th in Australia and 14th in Europe. Available for PS3 and Xbox 360, PlayStation Network users will be able to download a digital version at release (9.6GB space required).
