BREAKING NEWS! Disney Announces Live-action Mulan Film!

Hi everyone it's Xebs, due to the recent box-office success of Cinderella, Disney has announced that Mulan will be their next Disney animated film to be readapted as a live-action movie. Elizabeth Martin and Lauren Hynek are set to write the screenplay, while Chris Bender and J.C. Pink will produce. 

Mulan, who debuted in the 1998 Disney Animation film, is one of the company's more iconic animated heroines. In the original movie, Mulan told the tale of a young woman who takes her sick father's place in the ancient Chinese military. Posing a man, Mulan must save her country from the invading Huns. Mulan continues Disney's recent trend of adapting its classic animations into live-action films.

So far, Disney has released a live-action version of Alice in Wonderland, Maleficent, Cinderella. A live-action version of The Jungle Book will hit theatres in 2016 and Beauty and the Beast, starring Emma Watson will hit theatres in March 2017. 

No release date was announced for the upcoming Mulan movie.

BREAKING NEWS! Pirates Of The Caribbean 5 Temporarily Shut Down As Johnny Depp Reportedly Goes To Rehab!

Hi everyone it's Xebs, in Queensland, Australia, approximately 200 cast members have been temporarily stood down from the Gold Coast set of the fifth instalment of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, while star Johnny Depp reportedly undergoes rehab for alcohol issues. 

The 51 year old who portrays Captain Jack Sparrow, flew back to the US on March 11th to undergo surgery to his right hand after injuring himself while on the Gold Coast. Producers have been forced to scale back shooting of the $250 million blockbuster as they await Depp's return.

His currently undergoing treatment for alcohol issues at his home with the help of his sister and personal assistant.

A spokesman for Jerry Bruckheimer Films, which is making the film for Disney, told the Sydney Morning Herald the movie would only be "minimally impacted by Johnny Depp's injury. Production will absolutely continue when he returns".

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales will be out in cinemas on July 7th, 2017.

Final Fantasy Record Keeper Available For iOS and Android!

Hi everyone it's Xebs, SQUARE-ENIX has released a new Final Fantasy mobile game called Final Fantasy Record Keeper. The free-to-play smartphone game is a nostalgia-filled trip that will allow you to collect Final Fantasy characters as 2D sprites and use them in battles.

 

Final Fantasy Record Keeper is now available for iOS and Android.

Final Fantasy Type-0 Is Getting A Sequel!

Hi everyone it's Xebs, director Hajime Tabata was in Hong Kong for an event promoting Final Fantasy Type-0 HD when he revealed a look at what could be the next in line for the sub-franchise. Set in what seems to be a Far Eastern-themed setting, what has been referred to as "Final Fantasy Type-Next."

In a recent presentation at Southern Methodist University, one of the Final Fantasy series most recognized art directors, Yusuke Naora, hinted he was working on a game with a Japanese style as he sketched a piece inspired by a kabuto. One of these new artworks includes Naora's signature too.

More Actors Announced For Disney's Live-acton Beauty And The Beast!

Hi everyone it's Xebs, Disney has announced more actors who'll be starring in Disney's live-action adaptation of Beauty and the Beast. Emma Thompson will be playing as Mrs Potts, Josh Gad as Le Fou and Kevin Kline as Belle's father, Maurice. 

It's currently unknown on who'll be playing as Lumière,  Cogsworth, Chip, Fifi (aka the Featherduster), the Wardrobe and the Three Silly Girls.

Disney's live-action Beauty and the Beast will be out in cinemas March 17th 2017.

SHOCKING NEWS! Cate Blanchett Drops The "F" Bomb In Cinderella Interview!

Hi everyone it's Xebs, Australian actress Cate Blanchett, who plays the evil stepmother, Lady Tremaine, in Disney's live-action Cinderella movie, wasn't happy about the questions she was asked by Jonathan Hyla on the Australian TV show, The Project.

Cinderella is now playing in cinemas worldwide.

Kingdom Hearts Fan Event Before D23 Expo Japan 2015!

Disney has announced that the D23 Expo Japan will be returning in 2015 and with feature Kingdom Hearts, however there'll be a Kingdom Hearts fan event for the lead up to D23 Expo Japan called Kingdom Hearts - "The Theatre". This event will take place at Tokyo Disney Resort on the 3rd of November 2015, 3 days before the actual expo.

Disney - "To celebrate D23 Expo 2015 Japan, a Kingdom Hearts fan event will be held on November 3 at Cinema Ikspiari, Tokyo Disney Resort. Program information for the event, Kingdom Hearts- The Theatre (working title), will be posted on the official Disney website starting in late April".

Product Placement In Final Fantasy XV!

Hi everyone it's Xebs, if you have played the new Final Fantasy XV Episode Duscae demo on PS4 or Xbox One, you may have noticed a familiar logo appear on some of the camping supplies that Noctis and his friends use over the course of their adventure. 

Coleman, known for selling a wide variety of camping supplies such as tents, lanterns and other camping gear, will be partnering with SQUARE-ENIX for a product placement deal.

It's currently unknown if other real world brands will be making an appearance in Final Fantasy XV.

Disney's Frozen 2 Confirmed!

Hi everyone it's Xebs, as you may have heard, Disney has confirmed early this month that a Frozen 2 is indeed in the works. CEO of Disney Robert Iger responded:

"We're not demanding speed, we're demanding excellence."

Frozen is dubbed as the highest grossing film as well as the 5th highest grossing film in history.

As far as other details of the film is concerned, the good news has been confirmed that the roles of the main cast will still be played by the original actors. Josh Gad who plays Olaf, and Kristen Bell who plays Anna, expressed their excitement on their Twitter accounts for the second film.

It has also been confirmed that Jennifer Lee, Chris Black, and Peter Del Vecho will be coming back to direct and produce the film. Frozen 2 will be out in 2018.

Hi everyone i's Xebs, making its debut in front of a live panel audience at PAX East in Boston, MA, the FINAL FANTASY TYPE-0 HD PAX Trailer takes viewers deeper into the story of Machina and Rem, two cadets who are transferred into the Dominion of Rubrum's elite combat force known as Class Zero.

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is set to release next month on March 17th in US, Japan and Australia on the 19th and March 20th in Europe.

Live-action Disney's Beauty And The Beast Cast Dan Stevens As The Beast & Luke Evans As Gaston!

Hi everyone it's Xebs, Disney has announced more casts for Disney's live-acton telling of Beauty and the Beast. Actor Dan Stevens, who's best known in the popular TV series Downton Abbey, is cast as the Beast. Also, Luke Evans, best known for playing Dracula in the film Dracula Untold, is cast as Gaston alongside Emma Watson who'll be playing as Belle. 

Disney's live-acton Beauty and the Beast is set to be released in 2017, after the retelling of another Disney live-acton movie, The Jungle Book.

NEW! Mevius Final Fantasy Images & Trailer!

Hi everyone it's Xebs, SQUARE-ENIX has released more detail of the upcoming smartphone games Mevius Final Fantasy. Apparently it's different from other Final Fantasy titles in the company's mobile lineup, Mevius seeks to deliver a different experience than what we’re accustomed to.

You play as a "nameless" warrior of light who arrives in the land of Paramitia. A desolate land abandoned by the light of hope, the warrior has no clue to his past or future. However, he is guided by a mysterious voice, perhaps it is a woman seen within a giant crystal? It seems that a moogle will also lend a helping hand in your journey.

Combat in Mevius is simple in execution, by tapping the screen to execute attacks in a turn. You can also use abilities and magic including elementally-aspected skills like “Flame Blast”. A job system sees the introduction of the Ranger, reminiscent of a thief, that attacks in close proximity with two daggers and has high mobility. The Black Mage has low HP and strength, but attacks with powerful elemental magic spells.

Mevius Final Fantasy is currently announced for a 2015 release on iOS and Android smartphones in Japan.

Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster PS4 Version Will Be Out In May!

Hi everyone it's Xebs, SQUARE-ENIX has announced that Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster will be coming to the PlayStation 4 in May of this year. In this new version, SQUARE-ENIX has included additional features to the PlayStation 3 version, such as the ability to toggle between the original and remastered soundtrack, Remote Play functionality with PlayStation Vita. You will also be able to transfer your saves from the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita version to pick up where you left off on PlayStation 4.

SQUARE-ENIX has also announced a limited edition that will include boxart by Yoshitaka Amano, desktop calendar, and art cards.

NEW! Final Fantasy Type-0 HD & XV Images!

Hi everyone it's Xebs, SQUARE-ENIX has released new round of images from Final Fantasy Type-0 HD where we get a further look at the HD treatment of the game, specifically the characters Cater, Cinque, and Trey. We also get a small teaser of a new mystery cinematic included in the game, and new uniforms for Class Zero.

Also new images from Final Fantasy XV's contents of the Episode Duscae demo, (set to release with preorder copies of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD). In the demo we'll find Noctis and party without their car as it must need to be repaired. In order to scrounge up enough gil for the job, they take on a bounty to defeat a Behemoth named Smoke Eye.

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is set to release next month on March 17th in US, Japan and Australia on the 19th and March 20th in Europe.

Big Hero 6 Wins Best Animated Picture At The Oscars!

Hi everyone it's Xebs, as you all may know, Disney's Big Hero 6 won Best Animated Picture at this years Oscars. Big Hero 6 was contending with movies like; The Boxtrolls, How to Train Your Dragon 2, Song of the Sea and The Tale of the Princess Kaguya. 

Also the short Disney film, Feast, also won for Best Animated Short Film.

Frozen Fever Trailer!

Hi everyone it's Xebs, as you all may know, Disney has released a trailer of the upcoming short movie Frozen Fever. The story will be about the cast of Disney's Frozen, preparing princess Anna's birthday party.

Chirithy From Kingdom Hearts χ[Chi] Is A Dream Eater!

Hi everyone it's Xebs, Chirithy, the cute little kitty-cat creature from Kingdom Hearts χ[Chi], made a shocking reveal that it's a Dream Eater. Near the end of the latest story of Kingdom Hearts χ[Chi], Chirithy runs towards "you" the player, and as the player lifts him up, it causes his cape to flap in the wind. Under it was a Dream Eater Spirit symbol. Does this mean Kingdom Hearts χ[Chi] has been in the Realm of Sleep all along? 

Nobody knows... I'll keep you guys informed for more information.

Actor & Voice-actor Leonard Nimoy Dies At Age 83!

Hi everyone it's Xebs, as all of you may know, last week, Leonard Nimoy, who was best known as Spock from Star Trak, and the voice of Master Xehanort from the Kingdom Hearts series has passed-away aged 83, due to a medical condition called chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (or COPD). Nimoy was also known for voicing Kashekim Nedakh, the emperor from Disney's Atlantis: The Lost Empire. 

This is mere coincidence that Japanese voice actor Chikao Ōtsuka who also voiced Master Xehanort died a month earlier from ischemic heart failure, he was aged 85.

From all of us, we wish you Mr Nimoy to Rest In Peace.

NEW! Final Fantasy Type-0 HD Music Video!

Hi everyone it's Xebs, (I would like to apologise for not posting stories for the past two weeks, it was due to personal commitments. OK, now that I'm back, onto the first story of the month). Japanese singer Chris Ito has released a music video for "UTAKATA", a new theme song created for the HD version of Final Fantasy Type-0. The song is composed and arranged by Takeharu Ishimoto, who also performs on guitar.
