Hi everyone it's Xebs, last weekend Disney's Big Hero 6 "eclipsed" Christopher Nolan's Interstellar at the box office. Big Hero 6 made approximately $56.2 million dollars in its first week, a 15% increase over 2012's Wreck-It Ralph, but not quite as good as Frozen's Thanksgiving Holiday opening gross of $67.3 million (and Frozen wasn't even #1 on that weekend).
Also Big Hero 6 has a rated 91% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes. Good word of mouth should propel the film past $200 million domestically (hopefully).
Disney’s Big Hero 6 is now showing in cinemas in the US, but will be coming out on Boxing Day in Australia.
